The year of solidifying my root center…

2025 has been an exceptional year in my life. It has been the year of developing my root chakra and healing my instinctual trust. I feel deep contentment as I strengthen the foundation of my life, both physically and energetically.

The root chakra energy center represents our primal selves; our deepest instincts, our drive to survive and determines our level of trust. This is the energy center that aligns with the very bottom of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs pyramid, representing human physiological needs. When these basic needs of clean air, water, food, sleep and clothing are met for a human, then grounding is possible. Grounding simply means to trust the moment one is in at any given time. When we trust, then we feel centered. There is an alignment of our bodies, emotions, thoughts and spirit–even when our circumstances may be chaotic. To ground is to know that life is a balance of blessings, opportunities, lessons and challenges, and trusting whatever is needed is present now. Trust assists with overcoming obstacles, and basking in the pleasures.

Living in the PNW economy has been a burden for many. Even owning a simple home has been unreasonably difficult. This can negatively impact the root chakra and the ability to ground for most individuals. After many years of attempting to find a home, this is the year in which I have achieved it. With a home, it is easier to build a strong foundation, even if for me that meant moving over three hours away. I spent a few months settling in, carefully discerning the set-up of my new nest, being mindful of my long-term goals of living as self-sufficiently and sustainably as possible.

As I am feeling secure in my domain and my cup is full, I am extending my passions to the new community I belong to. Becoming a nurse at a young age, I have witnessed too much suffering caused by unstable energetic foundations and inability to safely ground and trust. I vowed to always serve and care for others with strong nursing ethics and integrity. I hope to be a bridge between physical matter and the unseen energies that impact us on many levels, and holistically empower and educate those who are interested in deepening their understanding of their potential wellness.

Now is the time that our wellness and our ability to ground is vitally necessary. In a world full of uncertainty, violence, division and opposition, humanity is losing its ability to peacefully ground. Most of us care and want to live in a safe world. Our collective goal is to live safely with everyone’s reasonable needs met. Sometimes we feel like there is nothing we can do, that so much is out of control. I am here as a reminder that we can control our ability to improve ourselves.

Having grounding skills impacts everyone we contact in our lives; our intimate people, our acquaintances, even strangers.

I am blessed with the opportunity to build a strong foundation for my personal business practice, and look forward to welcoming new clients in a wonderful community, as well as continuing to connect with previous students, clients, and dear friends.

Abraham Maslow was a psychologist that created this theory in the 1940’s. This theory represents the needs humans must meet in order to live to their full potential. This theory is the foundation for the healthcare industry and taught to every single health care provider at the initial stages of their education. I encourage everyone to learn about this theory and discuss it with health care providers.
