It is time for energy workers to be a part of the healthcare team. Our energetic health is a colossal part of our wellness. Although our energetic health relates to our entire body system, it goes hand-in-hand with our spirituality. Our spirituality allows our free will to exist. Having professionals who are fluent in the subtle energetic realm is essential to the basic health and well-being of all human beings, and all of nature that surrounds and sustains us. Cleansing our energy fields is the answer towards world unity and peace. It is essential to pay attention to our souls’ health, to have awareness of the condition we are in, and to embody empowerment to bring back balance into our lives. I am concerned that because the spiritual realm is so unique and mystical with subjectivity, that the healthcare industry is afraid to embrace it. However, with the current state of the world, we all desperately need people who understand how to choose love-based choices in order to guide us towards holistic wellness and let go of the fears that hold us back.
Energy practitioners can be included on the health care team as already established members such as social workers, counselors, nurses, chaplains, physicians, receptionists, and therapists. In addition to these providers, other guides can enhance overall care, such as intuitive readers, ordained ministers, life coaches, doulas, and many other energy modality practitioners. Those who are a part of a professional spiritual health collective with ethical standards and values are invaluable to a thriving community, and these team members need to have paid positions like everyone else. Addressing our spiritual health is the next step for our collective, societal healing. There is no other way than to embrace the mystery of the natural world by combining it with what scientific research and true life experiences have already proven to us. Subtle energy exists and influences us in countless ways. There are times that physical interventions are not effective at relieving or curing uncomfortable areas in the body. This damage grows overtime. Energetic, emotional trauma is stored inside our various cells from the moment we exist. The energy field may be blocked or it may be overwhelmed. We can no longer ignore this and pretend it is not happening. Whether energy workers support those in the beginning of life or the end-of-life and touching all the specialties in between, there is a place for energy healing modalities in all clinics and medical facilities. The good news is that in the world of hospice care, some forms of energy work is already accepted, such as massage, musical healing, companionship and Reiki. In addition, spiritual care teams that are made up of chaplains are a major backbone to the hospice team members and the patients and families themselves. The dynamics of this role can be the leading example of how energetic/spiritual care workers may be incorporated into any health setting.
By paying attention to our soul level of being, we are capable of profound healing. When we pay attention to our spirit, this automatically attempts to balance the body, emotions and mental states as close to healthy homeostasis as possible. If energy workers are genuinely seen as assets in the healthcare industry, they can help redirect all of us back to our energy centers, to the moment, to the here and now, to be more present and comprehend how to harmonize all aspects of ourselves to ensure basic needs are met and that we are living to our full potential–no matter what our circumstances are. With this much needed presence comes clarity. With clarity, there is a deep sense of personal power. With an unwavering personal power, we make the best decisions for ourselves.
